Deed 1-34. Canaan, Connecticut

Note: William Hollenbeck sells 175 acres to his son Abraham Hollenbeck. William is still living in New York.

To all Christian people to whom this present writing shall come William Halenbeeck of Claverack in the county of Albany and colony of New York in America yeoman land Greeting know ye that I the said William Halenbeeck for in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds current money of the colony above said to me in hand paid at and delivery by my son Abraham Halenbeeck resident Weatauck in the colony of Connecticut in New England yeoman the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself therewith to be fully satisfied, contented and paid have given, granted, remissed, released and forever quit claimed and by these presents do for my self my heirs, executors and administrators give, grant, remiss, release and forever quit claim unto the said Abraham Halenbeeck his heirs and assigns forever all my right title interest, property and demand whatsoever of in and unto all or any part of a certain tract of land lying and being at Weatauck in the colony of Connecticut in New England on the easterly side of Usatounnick River bounded westerly and northerly on said river and commons southerly and easterly on common land. Containing as by the returns of the surveyor one hundred seventy and five acres as in and by a certain deed under the hand and seal of one Andreas Hinman bareing date of twenty ninth day of August Anno Domini 1740 made and confirmed to me the said William Halenbeeck and Peter Hogaboom as in and by the said deed may appear reference thereunto being had.

To have and to hold hereby granted and released premises with every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances unto him the said Abraham Halenbeeck his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their only proper use and behoof forever. And also I the said William Halenbeeck do for myself my heirs, executors and administrators, and for every of them do convenant promise and agree to and with every of them by these presents that he the said Abraham Halenbeeck his heirs and assigns shall and may forever [?] after by virtue of these presents lawfully peaceably and quietly hold [?] occupy possess and enjoy the said hereby granted and released preimises without any lawful lot quit trouble or interruption whatsoever of or by me the said William Halenbeeck or my heirs, executors or administrators or of or by any other person or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under me or by my act means neglect or procurement whatsoever in testimony whereof the said William Holenbeeck have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of July Anno Domini 1739 in the thirteenth year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the 2nd by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland.
