Deed 2-102. Canaan, Connecticut

Note: Solomon Deming is selling 117 rods (.73 acres) of land to Abraham Hollenbeck

To all people to whom these presents that come greeting know ye I Solomon Deming of Canaan in Litchfield County and colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of the sum of eighteen pounds pounds money of the old tenor bills to me in hand already received to my full satisfaction of Abraham Holenbick of Canaan aforesaid. Do give, grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto him the said Abraham Holenbick his heirs and assigns forever a certain parcel of land situate in Canaan afore said bounded as follows west on the Six Rod Road north and east on said Holenbick land south on my own land. Contains one hundred and seventeen rods of land and being that piece of land that the said Deming bought of said Holonbick to have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises unto him the said Abraham Holonbick his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof and all [?] the said Solomon Deming do for myself my heirs covenant with the said Abraham Holonbick hiers and assigns that at and until the ensealing thereof I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and for me as is above written and that the same is free of all incumberances whatsoever and furthermore I and the said Solomon Deming do by these presents bind myself and heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises unto himself the said Abraham Holonbick his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever in witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 21st day of April AD 1755.

Canaan Litchfield County April 21, 1755 there personally appeared Solomon Deming the signer and sealer to the above written instrument and freely acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed before me John Bebee Justice of the Peace.
