Deed 2-107. Canaan, Connecticut

Note: Abraham Hollenbeck sells 35 acres of land to Gideon Ball.

To all people to whom these presents shall come greeting. Know ye that I Abraham Holonbeck of Canaan in the county of Litchfield and colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of the sum of thirty pounds money old tenor already received to my full satisfaction and content by Gideon Ball of the town, county and colony aforesaid do give, grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto him the said Gideon Ball his heirs and assigns forever twenty acres of common and undivided lands yet to be laid out in the township of Canaan in the ninth division of lands yet to be laid out in said Canaan and also fifteen acres of common land in said Canaan together with all the priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Gideon Ball his heirs and assigns forever at and until the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good estate of inheritance in fee simple [??] I have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and the same free from all encumbrances whatsoever and furthermore the said Abraham Hollenbeck do by these presents bind myself and heirs to warrant secure and defend the above granted and bargained premises unto him the said Gideon Ball his heirs and assigns forever free and clear from all claims and demands of any person of persons whosoever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 26th day of July and in the 29th year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the 2nd King of Great Britain and [??] 1755

Canaan in Litchfield County July 26(?) AD 1755 then personally appeared Abraham Holonbick the signer and sealer to the within written instument and freely acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed before me David [?] Justice of the Peace. Rec'd December 15, 1755 and recorded by me David [?] town clerk
