The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

To all to whom these Presents shall come, GREETING:

Know Ye, That in consideration of the monies paid by James and Joseph Clark for the Warrant hereinafter mentioned and of the sum of forty six cents in full since paid by Michael Greider of Lancaster county into the Treasury Office of this Commonwealth there is granted, by the said Commonwealth, unto the said Michael Greider a certain Tract of Land, called Mount Nebo. situate in Martick township Lancaster county. Beginning at a Post thence by land of James and Joseph Clark South fifty two degrees West, one hundred eighty perches to a Stone; thence by land of John Reed North seventy six degrees and a half East, one hundred seventy eight perches and one tenth to a Post and thence by land of James Clark, North twenty four degrees West seventy six perches and a quarter to a Post, the Beginning Containing thirty nine acres sixty one perches and allowance of six per cent [?] Which said Tract is part of a larger Tract which was surveyed in pursuance of a Warrant dated the 11th March 1794 granted to the said James and Joseph CLark who by deed dated the 3rd March 1800 conveyed their rights in the above described tract of land to the said Michael Greider and John Bassler, and the said John Bassler by deed dated the 17th October 1810 conveyed his right in the same to the said Michael Greider with the Appurtenances.

To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with the Appurtenances, unto the said Michael Greider and his Heirs to the use of him the said Michael Greider his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all Restrictions and Reservations, as to Mines, Royalties, Quit-rents, or otherwise, excepting and reserving only the fifth part of all Gold and Silver Ore, for the use of this Commonwealth, to be delivered at the Pit's Mouth, clear of all Charges.

In Witness whereof, John Cochran Secretary of the Land-office of the said Commonwealth, hath hereto set his hand, and the seal of the Land-office of Pennsylvania hath been hereunto affixed the twenty ninth day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and ten and of the Commonwealth the thirty fifth
