Note

According to the research of John Marsh, Jr. ("First Greiter/Kreider Immigrants Of Lancaster And Lebanon Counties, Pennsylvania," Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage (October 1985).) the three Kreiders that arrived on the ship Princess Augusta at Philadelphia on September 16, 1736 likely settled in North Carolina.

These passengers were: Hance Jacob, age 55; Frederick Greiter, age 21; and Martin Greiter, age 19. "Reverend Isaac Kreider erred in transcribing the ages of Martin and Hance Jacob." This error made it seem as though Martin was the oldest of the three rather than the youngest.
