Note: This deed is for two tracts of land that the estate of Jonas Kreider is selling to Jonas' son Henry S. Kreider. The first tract is 100 acres and is located in Cornwall Township. The second tract is 4 acres and is located in South Annville Township.
THIS INDENTURE, Made the __ day of __ A.D. 1888. BETWEEN Barbara Kreider, widow of Jonas Kreider, deceased, John S. Kreider and Elizabeth, his wife of Cornwall township Lebanon County Pa. Levi S. Kreider and Annie his wife Abilene Dickenson County Kansas, Christianna Krall and her husband Christian Krall of South Annville Township Lebanon County Pa, Catherine Yordy and her husband Christian Yordy of Cornwall Township Lebanon County, Pa. Barbara Behm and her husband Rudolph Behm of South Annville township Lebanon County Penna. and Mary Bachman (widow of Christian Bachman, deed) of Cornwall Township Lebanon County Penna. widow heirs and legal representatives of Jonas Kreider, late of Cornwall Township Lebanon County, Pa. deceased of the first part: AND HENRY S. KREIDER of Cornwall Township Lebanon County Penna of the second part:
WHEREAS the said Jonas Kreider in his lifetime and at the time of his death was seized in his demesneas of fee of certain tracts of land, one tract consisting of one hundred and one acres (101 A) and sixty perches (60 P) situate in Cornwall Township Lebanon County Pa and the other tract consisting of four acres (4 A) and one hundred and forty eight perches (148 P) situate in South Annville township Lebanon County, Pa. and being so thereof seized as aforesaid, died intestate leaving to survive him the aforesaid widow and seven heirs at law to wit: John S. Kreider, Henry S. Kreider, Levi S. Kreider, Christiana Krall intermarried with Christian Krall, Catherine Yordy intermarried with Christian Yordy, Barbara Behm intermarried with Rudolph Behm, and Mary Bachman aforesaid.
NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that the said Barbara Kreider, John S. Kreider and Elizabeth, his wife, Levi S. Kreider and Annie, his wife Christianna Krall and her husband Christian Krall, Catherine Yordy and her husband Christian Yordy, Barbara Behm and her husband Rudolph Behm and Mary Bachman for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars (1,000) good and lawful money of the United State to each of us in hand paid by the said Henry S. Kreider at any before the ensealing and delivery thereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do grant, bargain, sell, alien, release and confirm unto the said Henry S. Kreider, his heirs and assigns.
ALL THOSE CERTAIN two tracts of land messuage and tenements situate in Cornwall Township Lebanon County Penna and in South Annville township Lebanon County Penna. Bounded and described as follows to wit:
TRACT NO. 1 - BEGINNING at a black oak tree; thence by land now or late of Henry Heisey and John Heisey north one degree (1) west one hundred perches and seven tenths (100.7 P) to a stone; thence by land now or late of Jacob Uhrich south fifty four and three quarters degrees (54.75) east forty six and five tenths perches (46.5 P) to a stone; thence by the same north forty four degrees (44) east thirty two and six tenths perches (32.6 P) to a stone; thence by same south fifty one degrees (51) east one hundred and sixty nine and eight tenth perches (169.8 P) to a stone; thence by land now or late of Christian Dohner south ten degrees (10) west fifteen and nine tenth perches (15.9 P) to a stone; thence by land now or late of John and Joseph Bowman and Henry Heisey south eighty eight and one half degrees (88.5) west one hundred and eighty eight perches (188 P) to the place of BEGINNING.
CONTAINING one hundred and one acres (101 A) and sixty perches (60 P) strict measure.
IT BEING the same premises of which Phillip Uhrich, late of the township of South Lebanon County of Lebanon Pa died seized intestate and which under certain proceedings had in the Orphans Court of Lebanon County aforesaid in partition were awarded to Joseph Uhrich, reference being had to the records of said Court will more fully and at large appear: AND the same premises which the said Joseph Uhrich and Veronica his wife by their Indenture dated April 5, A.D. 1867 did grant and confirm unto Jonas Kreider his heirs and assigns forever.
TRACT NO. 2 - Situate in South Annville Township aforesaid.
BEGINNING at stones; thence by lands late of Manasses Friel now owned by Christian Bachman south fifty and one half degrees (50.5) east fourteen perches (14 P) to stones and south sixty seven and three fourths degrees (67.75) east eight and five tenths perches (8.5 P) to stones; thence by lands of George Hoffer south nineteen and one half degrees (19.5) east forty seven and two tenth perches (47.2 P) to a chestnut tree; thence by land of the Coleman Heirs south seventy and one half degrees (70.5) west fifteen perches (15 P) to stones; thence by land formerly of John Dohner now owned by John Gossert north eighteen and one quarter (18.25) west sixty four acres and nine tenths perches (64.9 P) to the place of BEGINNING.
CONTAINING (4 A) and one hundred and forty eight perches (148 P) neat measure.
IT BEING the same premises which Levi Riegert and Henry M. Boyer, Trustees appointed by the Orphans Court of Lebanon County, Pa. in the matter of the partition of the real estate of Moses Riegert, deceased, reference being had to the records of said Court will more fully and at large appear by their Indenture and by virtue of the power and authority to them given by the aforesaid Orphan's Court dated April 1st, A.D. 1887, did grant and confirm unto James Kreider [probably a typo and should be Jonas], his heirs and assigns forever.
TOGETHER WITH ALL and singular the ways, water, water-courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and hereditaments, rents, issues and profits thereof: AND ALSO ALL the estate, right, title, interest, use, trusts, property, posession, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Barbara Kreider, John S. Kreider and Elizabeth his wife, Levi S. Kreider and Annie, his wife Christianna Krall and her husband Christian Krall, Catherine Yordy and her husband Christian Yordy, Barbara Behm and her husband Rudolph Behm and Mary Bachman in law, equity or otherwise howsoever of, in to or out of the same.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said two tracts of land messuage and tenements, hereditaments and premises hereby granted and released or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Henry S. Kreider, his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said Henry S. Kreider, his heirs and assigns forever.
UNDER AND SUBJECT however as to tract No. 1 herein mentioned and described to the payment of the yearly interest on the sum of three thousand three hundred and seventy nine dollars and sixteen cents ($3379.16) being the third or dower remaining a charge upon the said No. 1 of 101 A. and 60 P. said yearly interest to be paid to the said Barbara Kreider, widow of said Jonas Kreider deed during her natural life time and after her death the said principal sum of $3,379.16 must be paid to the heirs and legal representatives of the said Jonas Kreider, deed and the said parties of the first part do covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Henry S. Kreider, his heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said parties of the first part have not done, committed or knowingly or willingly suffered to be done or committed any act, matter or thing whatsoever whereby the premises hereby granted or any part thereof, is, are shall or may be impeached in title, estate or otherwise howsoever.

BE IT REMEMBERED that on this 29 day of March A.D. 1888 before me, a Notary Public, duly commissioned in and for the County and State aforesaid, personally came Levi S. Kreider and Annie, his wife and duly acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same to be recorded as such. The said Annie being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said Indenture being made known to her declared that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign, seal and as her act and deed, deliver the said Indenture without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.

Kreider and Elizabeth his wife Christianna Krall and her husband Christian Krall, Catherine Yordy and her husband Christian Yordy, Barbara Behm and her husband Rudolph Behm and Mary Bachman and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same to be recorded as such. The said Elizabeth, Christianna, Catherine and Barbara being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from their said husbands and the full contents of said Indenture being made known to them, declared that they did voluntarily and of their own free will and accord sign, seal and as their act and deed deliver the said Indenture without any coercion or compulsion of their said husbands.
