Deed 2-58. Canaan, Connecticut

Note: Abraham Hollenbeck is selling 35 acres of land to Samuel Robbins

To all people to whom these presents that come greeting know ye I Abraham Hollenbick of Canaan in Litchfield County and colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds money of the old tenor bills to me in hand paid by Samuel Robbins of the same town and county and colony afore said. The receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself fully satisfied and paid therefore do give grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto him the said Samuel Robbins and his heirs and assigns for ever one certain tract or lot of land lying in the township of Canaan aforesaid. Containing 35 acres bound as follows. First lying east of the Robbins' hamlet in the swamp beginning at the south east corner of a thirty acre pitch belonging to the heirs of Silas Belding bounded north on the 30 acre pitch easterly partly on Charles Belding's land and partly on the Robbins' own land called White Pasture southerly on the highway or commons or undivided land westerly partly on Augustus(?) Bryant's land and partly on Daniel Horsford's land being the one half of a seventy acre lot now lying in common with the heirs of Peter Hogenboom late of Canaan deceased to have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the privileges and appurtenancces thereof unto the said Samuel Robbins and his heirs and assigns forever to his and their one proper use and behoof and also the said Abraham Hollenbick do for myself my heirs executors and administrators covenant with the said Samuel Robbins and his heirs and assigns of at and until the ensealing of these presents. I am well seized of the premises as a good and indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and the same is free of all emcumberances whatsoever and furthermore the said Abraham Hollenbick do by these presents bind and oblige myself and heirs forever to warrant and defend the above premises against all lawful claims and demands whatsoever in witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20th day of March and in the 25th year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the 2nd of Great Britain - King AD 1752.
