Deed 3-109. Canaan, Connecticut

Note: Ruloff White sells 12 acres to John Hollenbeck.

To all people to whom these presents shall come greeting. Know ye that I Ruloff White of Salisbury in Litchfield County and colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of sixty pounds lawful money to one in hand well and truly paid by John Hollenbeck of Canaan in the county and colony afore said do give grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said John Hollenbeck his heirs and assigns forever certain tract ?? of lying situate in [???] of Canaan aforesaid it being [?] land bounded as follows it being the thirty rod(?) lot or share of land in the first division. (viz) first from a stake at the east side of Hollenbeck River the northwest corner of the thirty second share then east fifty four rods to the northeast corner of the thirty second share then north thirty rods to a stake then west seventy rods to a stake at said river then upstream to [???] about twelve acres.

To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises unto him the said John Hallamback his heirs and assigns forever and that until the ensealing of the presents I am well seized of the premises a good estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and that the same is free of all incumberances whatsoever and furthermore I the said Ruloff White do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises unto himself the said John Hallamback his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 21st day of January AD 1774 and in the thirteenth year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the Third of Great Britain King
