Deed 4-264. Canaan, Connecticut

Note: John Hollenbeck sells a piece of land to Timothy Holaboard and Elisha Beebe.

Know all men by these presents that I John Hollenbeck of Canaan Litchfield County and state of Connecticut for the consideration of eleven pounds two shillings money received to full satisfaction of Timothy Halaboard and Elisha Beebe of said Canaan County do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Timothy Halaboard and Elisha Beebe their heirs and assigns forever a certain piece of land in said Canaan in the southerly part of said town in the Meadow so called.

John Holaboard's land. Thence NE(?) to the southeast corner of the 34th share of interval in the said first division. Thence west in the line of the said 34th share to the first bounds. Being the land I bought of Reuben Smith whose deed is dated 10th September AD 1787. Reference being had to said deed for a further description of said [?] the whole contained in said deed be it more or less.

To have and to hold the premises unto them the said Timothy Holaboard and Elisha Beebe their heirs and assigns forever to the only use and behoof of the said Timothy and Elisha their heirs and assigns forever and furthermore the said John Holaboard do for myself my heirs, executors and administrators covenant with the said Timothy and Elisha their heirs assigns that at and until the ensealing these presents am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as above written and furthermore I the said John bind myself and heirs to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises against all claims and demands whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of December in the year of our Lord 1787.
