Note: Abraham Hollenbeck sells twenty four acres of land to Asahel Beebe
Know all men by these presents that I Abraham Hollenbeck of Canaan in Litchfield County and state of Connecticut for the consideration of seven pounds fifteen shillings legal money received to my full satisfaction of Asahel Beebe of Canaan. Do by these presents remiss, release and forever quitclaim unto Asahel Beebe and to his heirs and assigns forever, all the right title and interest I have or ever ought to have to two thirds of a tract or parcel of land that was laid out on the right of Charles Burrall and my own right to Asahel Beebe. Bounded south on Cornwall line, east on Beebe land north on land which was undivided at the time said land was laid. West on land laid out to Augustine Bryan containing about twenty four acres be the same more or less particulars being had to the survey of the same as recorded on the proprietors book of records.
To have and to hold the above quitclaimed premises with the appurtenances thereof to him the said Asahel and to his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use, benefit and behoof. And I the said Abraham do by these presents covenant with the said Asahel and with his heirs and assigns that after the signing and ensealing these presents that I the said Abraham will make no claim or demand any right or title to the premises.
In witness whereof, I hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of February AD 1799.
