Note: Samuel Hollenbeck sells three quarters of an acre to Samuel J. Mills.
To all people to whom these presents shall come, greeting. Know ye that I Samuel Hollenbeck of Canaan in Litchfield County and state of Connecticut for the consideration of twenty two dollars received to my full satisfaction of Samuel J. Mills of said Canaan. Do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Samuel J. Mills a certain piece of land lying in said Canaan a little west of the said Mills's dwelling house on Hollenbeck River (so called) bounded west on my own land and north, east and south on the river. Containg three quarters of an acre be the same more or less.
To have and to hold the above granted premises with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Samuel J. Mills his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also, I the said Samuel Hollenbeck do for myself heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Samuel J. Mills, his heirs and assigns, that at and until the ensealing these presents, I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee-simple; and have good right to bargain and sell the same, in manner and form as is above written; and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore, I the said Samuel Hollenbeck do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever, to warrant and defend the above bargained premises to him the said Samuel J. Mills his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.
