Deed 7-222. Canaan, Connecticut

Note: Samuel Hollenbeck gives 8 acres to his son Gad.

To all people to whom these presents shall come: Greeting. Know ye, I Samuel Hollenbeck of Canaan in Litchfield County and state of Connecticut for the consideration of love and good will I bare towards my son Gad Hollenbeck of Canaan aforesaid.

Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Gad Hollenbeck his heirs and assigns forever, the following piece of land lying in Canaan aforesaid. Bounded as follows: first beginning at my northeast corner of my Hill Lot (so called) and then southerly in the line of the Six Rod Highway to the late Mr. Farrand's northeast corner of his house lot, thence in the line of the said Mr. Farrand's said house lot to his northwest corner of said lot, then north to my north line of my said Hill Lot. Containing eight acres more of less.

To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Gad Hollenbeck his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also I the said Samuel Hollenbeck do for myself my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Gad his heirs and assigns; that at and until the ensealing these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good and indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever, and furthermore I the said Samuel Hollenbeck do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said Gad and his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever
