To all people to whom these presents that come greeting. Know ye I Gad Hollenbeck of Canaan in the county of Litchfield and state of Connecticut for the consideration of one hundred twenty dollars received to my full satisfaction of Samuel Hollenbeck of Canaan in the county and state aforesaid. Do give grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Samuel Hollenbeck his heirs and assigns forever, the following piece of land lying in Canaan aforesaid bounded as follows. Beginning at the northeast corner of my hill lot (so called), thence southerly in the line of the Six Rod Highway to the late Mr. Farrand's northeast corner of his home lot. Thence in the line of said lot to the northwest corner of the same, thence north to the north line of my hill lot. Containing eight acres more of less.
To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Samuel Hollenbeck his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also I the said Gad Hollenbeck do for myself my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Samuel Hollinbeck his heirs and assigns, that at and until the ensealing these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good and indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever
And futhermore, I the said Gad Hollenbeck do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said Samuel Hollenbeck his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.
