Deed 7-147. Canaan, Connecticut

Note: Samuel Hollenbeck sells 12 acres to Whiting Kellog.

Know all men by these presents that we Samuel Hollenbeck and Naomi Kellog both of Canaan Litchfield County and state on Connecticut. Do for the consideration of one hundred and fifty six dollars and sixty seven cents this day received of Whiting G. Kellog of Canaan aforsaid to our full satisfaction. Bargain, sell, convey and forever quit claim to the said Whiting G. Kellog and to his heirs and assigns forever. All the right, title and interest which we have or either of us had in and unto one certain lot of land with a dwelling house thereon standing lying in Canaan aforesaid First Society. Containing twelve acres, it being the same lot or piece of land which was purchased by said Samuel Hollenbeck of Jason Cowles of said Canaan reference being had to the deed given by said Jason Cowles to the said Samuel Hollenbeck for a more particular description of said land

Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Elisha Sterling his heirs and assigns forever, a certain farm of land lying in the First Society of said Canaan and bounded northerly on land owned by Adoniram Carter and his wife Pamela Carter, and westerly on Ousatonac River and southerly on Holenbeak River (so called) and easterly on the highway leading from said Carter's to said Holenbeak River and containing about two hundred acres of land with a (?)ing house and barn standing thereon and is the same farm on which I now live.

To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises, with all priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Whiting G. Kellog and to his heirs and assigns forever, and to his and their own use and benefit forever.

In witness whereof, we have herunto set our hands and seals this first day of December AD 1808
