Note: This patent grants two tracts of land to Jacob Greider. The two tracts total 181 acres and are located in Heidelberg Township, Berks County.

Thomas Penn and Richard Penn Esq. true and Absolute Proprietarys and Governors in Chief of the Province of Pennsylvania and Counties of New Castle, Kent, and Sussex on Delaware To all unto whom these Presents shall come Greeting Whereas a Warrant under the Seal of the said province bearing date the seventeenth day of June in the year of our Lord 1737 was granted unto one Johannes Arb for the taking up one hundred and fifty acres of land in the county then of Lancaster now Berks, but he not complying with the conditions of the said warrant bearing date the second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand and seven hundred and forty four was issued under the Seal of our Land Office requiring the then Surveyor General to accept and make return into our Secretary's Office of the Survey of two hundred and three acres and one hundred and fifty six perches now in Heidelberg Township in the said county of Berks which was made upon the first mentioned warrant in order for confirmation unto one Christian Wieks and Whereas by virtue of [???] grants conveyances and assurances in law the right of and in one hundred and four acres and fifty perches part of the said whole tracts is now vested in Jacob Greider of Heidelberg Township aforesaid yeoman and the remainder thereof being ninety nine acres and one hundred and four perches in John Meyer as by a division survey of the said tract remaining in the Surveyor General's Office appears And Whereas the said Jacob Greider having paid in full for his part of the said tract our Surveyor General hath at his special instance and by our consent and direction made a return of the same into our Secretary's Office in order for confirmation to the said Jacob Greider and which is therein bounded and described as follows that is to say

Beginning at [???] thence by the said John Meyers Park north seventy one degrees west twenty perches to an Elm tree North twenty degrees west twenty two perches to a white oak North sixty one degrees west fifty four perches to a white oak and north seventy three degrees west twenty three perches to a post thence by the said Meyer's and Jacob Conrad's land north seventeen degrees east fifty eight perches to a post thence by the said Conrad Arntz's land south eighty two degrees east two hundred and one perches and a half to a post thence by vacant land south twelve degrees and one quarter west one hundred and twenty two perches to the Place of Beginning Containing one hundred and four acres and fifty perches and the allowance of six acres for roads and highways

as by the said several warrants and surveys remaining in the Survey General's Office and from thence certified into [?] Secretary's Office more fully appears and whereas in pursuance of a warrant under the Seal of our Land Office bearing date the nineteenth day of September in the year of our Lord 1749 there was surveyed unto Jacob Conrad a certain tract of land situate in Heidelberg Township aforesaid beginning at a post thence by the said Jacob Greider's other land north seventeen degrees east thirty perches and a half to a post and south eighty two degrees east one hundred and forty perches to a marked white oak thence by Conrad Arntz's land north three degrees west forty one perches and a half to a post north sixty nine degrees east twenty five perches to a small hickory and north seven degrees and a half east thirty two perches to a marked white oak thence by land of Tobias Bechtly south seventy six degrees west seventy eight perches to a marked white oak north twelve degrees west twelve perches to a post south seventy five degrees west forty perches to a post south eighty eight degrees west fifty four perches and a half to a post west south west sixty two perches to a post and south eighty four degrees and a half west twenty three perches to a Chestnut Oak thence by vacant land south forty seven degrees west six perches to a post thence by vacant land and John Meyer's land south thirty two perches and a half to a marked black oak thence by said John Meyer's land north eighty eight degrees east fifty five perches to a black oak and south sixty four degrees east twenty nine perches and a half to the Place of Beginning Containing seventy six acres and one hundred and forty two perches and allowance aforesaid as by the said last mentioned warrant survey remaining in our Survey General's Office and from thence certified into our Secretary's Office appeared

And Whereas the right of and in the said seventy six acres and one hundred and forty two perches is now also vested in the said Jacob Greider by virtue of a certain deed of conveyance bearing date the fourteenth day of March in the year of our Lord 1761 [?] produced And he having now humbly besought us to grant unto him a confirmation of the same together with his said one hundred and four acres and fifty perches in one patent and we favoring his request Now know ye that for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum of twenty eight pounds and two shillings lawful money of Pennsylvania to our use paid by the said Jacob Greider (the receipt whereof we hereby acknowledge thereof do acquit and for ever discharge the said Jacob Greider his heirs and assigns by these presents and of the yearly quitrent herein after mentioned and reserved

We have given granted released and confirmed and by these presents for us our heirs and successors do give grant release and confirm unto the said two above described tracts of land containing in the whole one hundred and eighty one acres and thirty two perches of land as the same are herein before set forth bounded and limited as aforesaid with all Mines, Minerals, Quarries, Meadows, Marshes, Savannahs, Swamps, Cripples, Woods, Underwoods, Timber and Trees, Ways, Waters, Water Courses, Liberties, Profits, Commodities, Advantages, Hereditaments and Appurtances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise Appurtaining and Lying within the Bounds and Limits aforesaid. Three full and clear fifth Parts of all Royal Mines free from all Deductions and reprisals Digging and refining the same and also one fifth Part of the Ore of all other Mines Delivered at the Pitsmouth only excepted and hereby reserved And also free leave Right and Liberty to and for the said Jacob Greider his heirs and assigns to hawk Hunt Fish and Fowl in and upon the hereby granted Land and Premises or upon any Part thereof To have and to hold the said one hundred and eighty one acres and thirty two perches of land and premises hereby granted (except as before accepted) with their apputenances unto the said Jacob Greider his heirs and assigns to the only use of behoof of the said Jacob Greider his heirs and assigns for ever to beholden of us our heirs and successors proprietaries of Pennsylvania as of our Manor of Roscomb in the County of Berks in free and common soccage by fealty only in Lieu of all other Services Yielding and paying therefore yearly to us our Heirs and Successors at the Town of Reading in the said County at or upon the first day of March in every year from the first Day of March last past one half penny Sterling for every Acre of the same Or Value thereof in Coin Current according as the Exchange shall then be between our said Province and the City of London to such Person or Persons as shall from time to time be appointed to Receive the same And in case on Nonpayment thereof within Ninety Days next after the same shall become due that then it shall and may be lawful for us our heirs and successors our and their receiver or receivers into and upon the hereby granted land and premises to Reenter the same to hold and possess until the said Quit Rent and all arrears thereof together with the Charges acruing by means of such Non payment and Reentry be fully paid and Discharged

Witness John [???] Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the said Province Who by virtue of certain Powers and Authorities to him for this purpose inter alia granted by the said Proprietaries hath hereunto set his Hand and Caused the Great Seal of the said Province to be hereto Affixed At Philadelphia this twenty eighth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five the fifth year of the reign of King George the Third by the grace of God of Great Britain France(?) and Ireland(?) Defender of the faith And the forty eighth year of the said Proprietaries Government,
