Bishop Kreider Funeral Will Be Held Saturday at Campbelltown

Funeral services for Bishop Henry K. Kreider, former president of the Messiah Home here, who died Tuesday at his home in Campbelltown, will be held Saturday at 1.15 p.m. at the residence, with further services in Brethren in Christ Church, Palmyra at 1.45 p.m.

Bishop Titus Books and the Rev. Harvey Ebersole will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery at Campbelltown. Friends may call at the residence tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.

Bishop Kreider, who was 74 years old, was head of the Messiah Home for 31 years. He was named bishop of the Lebanon and Dauphin County district of the Brethren in Christ Church in 1911 and served until 1945, when he resigned. He was secretary of the general executive board of the church. He had been elected to the ministry in 1900.

He was president of the Campbelltown Bank and was active in civic affairs of that community.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katie Kreider; three sons, Ethan and Herbert, both of Campbelltown, and John, of Mt. Joy; three daughters, Miss Mary C. Kreider, a missionary in Southern Rhodesia; Mrs. Grace E. Stoner, East Berlin, Adams County, and Mrs. Anna R. Engle, Campbelltown, and 24 grandchildren.
