Machinery of Middletown Plant Removed To Local Factory ...

Annville, April 2, 1926. Prospects for additional business are in view for Annville through the lsoing of the A. S. Krieder shoe factory at Middletown, for an indefinite period. Two hundred and sixty Middletown employees were affected by this move. All the McKay shoes of children and misses, that have been made at Middletown will now be manufactured at the local factory. As the business brightens and production increases to such an extent that it can not be conveniently handled, operation will be resumed at Middletown.

At least for the time being, it will afford employment for the Annville shoe workers. Machinery and other materials that were needed at the local factory were supplied and shipped here this week by the Middletown plant.
