His wife also served as matron of the home.

A member of the Hill Lutheran Church, he was formerly a member of the church council. He also held membership in the Lincoln Republican Club and the Lebanon Kiwanis Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Miles R. Kreider Jr., this city, and daughter, Lillian, wife of Robert R. Royer, Lebanon R.D. 1. Three grandchildren also survive, along with two brothers and one sister. The latter are Irwin G. Kreider, Cleona; Walter Kreider, Jonestown R.D. 1, and Ida, wife of John C. Long, Cleona.
