G.R. KREIDER SR., DIES ON SUNDAY AT HIS RESIDENCE

Prominent Annville Citizen Passes Away After Brief Illness

Death Sunday morning claimed one of Lebanon county's esteemed and widely known citizens. Gideon Richie Kreider Sr., at his residence, " Sycamore Hill" just north of Annville, where he resided for a number of years. He was in his seventy-first year. His health became impaired recently, and during the past week his condition became serious hastening his death. He was a native of Palmyra, this county, having been born there, January 6, 1865. The greater part of his life, however, was spent in Annville. He was engaged in the shoe manufacturing business.

He was a son of the late Joseph H. and Annie Catherine Boller, the latter, his mother, having been a resident of Philadelphia.

The late Mr. Kreider is survived by his wife, Annie Weidman (nee Brunner). They were married April 16, 1888. He is survived by the following children: Gideon R. Kreider Jr., Annville; Mrs. Louise, wife of Dr. Alfred D. Strickler, this city, and Paul W. Kreider, of Annville. The following grandchildren also survive: Catherine Louise and Helen Elisabeth Kreider, Annville, and Hugh and Marion Strickler, of this city. Two sisters, Mrs. Charles M. Coover, Annville, and Mrs. Charles V. Henry, Sr., this city, and also a brother, Prof. D. Albert Kreider, of New Haven, Conn., also survive.

The late Mr. Kreider was active in business all his life. He was also associated with a number of enterprises in this city and Annville for a number of years.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow, Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock (standard time), from the residence of the deceased, with burial private in Mt. Annville cemetery.
