Hiked to the top of Second Mountain following the waterline cutout. The hike was made difficult by the 90 degree heat, the ticks, the poison ivy, and especially by the recently fallen trees that had to be negotiated.

The breeze at the top of the mountain made for an enjoyable evening watching the sunset. I took some pictures and put together this time-lapse sequence of the sun setting behind Peters Mountain to the west. I also used up the rest of my camera battery shooting an hour and twenty minutes worth of star photos that are compiled to make one star-trail photo. I also took pictures of me next to my hammock-tent, the sun set, and a Broad-headed Skink.

The entire round-trip hike was 2.58 miles.
