Drove the 60 miles to Conowingo Dam to view the Bald Eagles. There were lots of photographers with huge expensive lenses. I was hoping to see an eagle feeding up close in one the trees along the river. I saw lots of eagles, but they were all off in the distance. I didn't get any really good photos. I did get some decent photos of Black Vultures. I took a hike on the Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenbelt Trail (map). The trail follows the west bank of the river down to Susquehanna State Park where there was an old flint furnace. I walked a total of 7.5 miles.
