The highest point in Lebanon County is on Stony Mountain. The elevation is 1,651 feet. I parked on the west side of Goldmine Road at a gated access road to Game Lands number 211. I followed the road/trail north. When the road ended I made my way to the top of Stony Mountain using my gps. The high point was marked with a rock cairn. There were no unobstructed views. I crossed the Upper Railroad trail which traveled along the southern side of Sharp Mountain. That is a trail to try another day. Water was flowing down Gold Mine Run and probably would provide some opportunity for waterfall pictures. Saw no wildlife other than a large group of Juncos.
