The more northern trail was accessed by exiting Interstate 81 at the Minersville exit. I was walking on what I suppose were mining roads. I came out at what appears to be an old quarry. A waterfall fed into the quarry.

I headed back down south on I-81 to the Hegins exit. I wanted to see if I could once again find the Swatara Falls. Parking is along Rt. 25 on the side opposite the trail to the falls. I would guess the falls are about 20 feet high. Round trip to falls and back to the car was 1.71 miles.
