Made a trip down Rt 441 and River Road to Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve (36 miles). It was a breezy day and I wasn't really planning on photographing lots of wildflowers. I was hoping to see some migrating birds or anything interesting. I heard lots of birds, but didn't get any photographs of birds or any other wildlife. I did get a few wildflower photos. The only two that I could positively indentify were Wild Geranium and Daisy Fleabane. Once I completed the main trail, I took a side trail north. This led me past some hunters' tree stands to an old railroad bed that is being converted into a rail trail. I then made the walk along Grubb Run, the stream that parallels the main preserve trail. The total distance walked was 4.6 miles. In past years I would go to this place in April when more flowers are blooming.
